Chapman almost 3 months -WOW!

 Chapman is growing like a weed ( as my sister says) and every morning we wake up and look at him and feel as though he has grown even more over night! It is CRAZY how fast time is flying by.  He is smiling and watching us and talking to us. I feel as though I am already beginning to miss the little tiny baby that liked to snuggle with me. Now he is beginning to be a wiggle worm and wants to be entertained.. He is watching the toys, splashing ALOT in the bath tub, and batting his toys in front of time. He is such a joy to both Kit and I we just can't even imagine life without him anymore. He brings us so much so and so so so many laughs! He loves his face being played with he will begin to coo and laugh.. We are still waiting to hear him giggle but we have seen so many smiles now and he has such a beautiful smile however it is a little crooked like his mommy's , But I guess I am just glad that he got something from me he is such a mini Kit. He definitely lacks patience, he has absolutely 0 patience but it actually makes it quite funny!

This past Sunday Chapman had cereal for the first time off of a spoon, this was quite interesting he wasn't too sure how to use the spoon or his tongue for that matter. He made a mess of everything but it was quite entertaining.

He has gotten so big that he out grew the Halloween costume that nana and Aunt Desirae got him.. time to go shopping! 

We have also hit the milestone of now we are sleeping in our big boy bed (crib) we are out of the bassinet! It made mommy VERY sad however Chapman loves it so much that he has been sleeping from 10pm to 7 am most nights! He loves all the room and sleeps so much better! 

Next weekend will be Chapmans first road trip we will be going to Gatlinburg with Christine Kevin and Kaelyn Orsburn and we are all so very excited to see how it goes! Here are a few pictures of Chapman with girlfriend Kaelyn.. TOO CUTE!! 

We have made it to six weeks...

Here we are at the 6 week mark and I can hardly believe that it has already been 6 weeks! I can't even hardly remember sitting in the hospital room mad at Kit swearing that I would NEVER do this again... We are finally getting the swing of things I feel like. Last night Chapman slept from 11pm to 7am, I think Kit and I both forgot what a complete night of sleep felt like. It's crazy! I went back to work part-time this week. A few hours Monday and a few hours today and I will really hit the hours next week! Chapman will be bounced around a bit from grandparent to grandparent but I am hoping this will be good quality time for them and great socialization for him! I am truly blessed to not have to put him in daycare and still be able to go back to work and help support my family! 

Chapman got a Wii character today and got weighed... he is already 11 lbs!!! Nearly doubled his birth weight at 6 weeks old... He is so a daddy's boy! I am getting more and more comments how he is identical to his daddy and how his daddy could never deny him. Kit is loving it and it just makes me smile (especially when I see that sunlight hit his head and that red hair really shine knowing that SO came from his daddy and NOT his momma) ha ha. He has gotten so BIG here are some updated pictures from the last 2 weeks!

Growing So Fast

It is so hard to believe that I had this sweet boy a month ago, It feels like just yesterday! We have our 1 month check-up on Thursday at 9:30 and I am so curious to see how much he weighs! As of last week he was 8lbs 4 oz which puts him gaining about a lb a week! He is growing and changing so much I can't keep up! We have switched him to soy formula with cereal due to his belly being a little sensitive and he is doing amazing with it. I think he is outgrowing the colic and holding down even more food! 

 When we came home from the hospital he hated bath time and would cry and cry until he almost made mommy cry and now that is his favorite time of the day. He will just kick around all soapy in the tub as happy as he can be! We have actually used bath time as calming method when he is really sleepy or "thinks" he is hungry way before he is... He absolutely loves the little shower sprayer that came with his baby bath tub.

Last night was the first night that we finally had a good night of sleep, I am very curious to see if it continues. Kit and I both have been trying to keep him awake until 11 and then giving him his last bottle before we lay down. It has been a challenge usually from 9-11, he will fight us hard! However last night he went to bed by 11:30 and slept until 3:30am and didn't get back up until a little after 8! Only one middle of the night feeding!! My body almost doesn't know what to do with all this sleep! He is so cute and precious in the middle of the night when he is "talking" and grunting and looking around it has been so hard to lay him back down when he is so wide awake so we are so excited that he is finally ready to sleep some at night! 

Lastly for the baby updates we are beginning to out grow some of our clothes! I can't believe that those cute little footy pjs and onsies we couldn't wait for him to fit into he is already outgrowing! When we came home EVERYTHING we had for him was way too big and its only been a month and it seems like I find my self saying each night with a different pair of newborn pjs "uh-oh only one more wash and these will have to be packed away". It's so crazy that he has grown that much in a month! We have even been putting him in 0-3 month clothing and some of it is still baggy on him but for the most part they fit! Which is exciting and depressing at the same time! My little boy is growing too fast!

Yesterday was the first time mommy left Chapman since he was born (I was not happy about it but needed to do it). He stayed with Ouwii and Poppy and he did SO good! I did ok with it he is a much better trooper then me, I think he was happy to have a break from me!  He was there nearly 5 hours and we all survived! I go back to work on September 1st and Chapman will be spending 5 hours a day with both my parents or Kits. It will be good quality grandparent time for Chapman and it will give me an oppertunity to earn some money to finish up some endless projects we have at the house! Wish us luck with these changes that are coming up!

Friday July 23rd Amanda Perry (Urso Photography) came and took our little mans photos. She got some AMAZING shots of him he is almost 2 weeks old and has already changed so much.. I think. She took pictures of the nursery and our family. 

I am very glad for the pictures of the nursery. Kit worked SO hard in the nursery. He began it on a Friday night moving all the the furniture out and then Saturday he patched the walls, sanded and painted. Aunt Laura came over and painted all the trim. Kit worked so hard getting the furniture in there and all the walls finished. The next day Aunt Desirae came over to put all the polka dots on the wall.  I was a wreck, so nervous that weekend that the nursery would get done before Chapman got here.. (the weekend before our baby shower).His nursery is so perfect it turned out better then I ever imagined!
